Class 1 Driver

Job purpose

To provide transport support for construction projects

Duties and responsibilities

Load and unload cargo
Ensure cargo is secured properly compliant with safety requirements of all jurisdictions including Minty’s Moving Ltd.’s safety protocols
Keep truck and associated equipment tidy and in good working order

Qualifications

Class 1 Driver’s License
Experience operating various models of semi tractors
Experience hauling variety of loads of equipment and materials over long distances
Working conditions

Hours of operation are within a 70 hour schedule before required reset
Interprovincial movement
Physical requirements

Ability to tie and untie load
Written English skills
Ability to lift 50 lbs

Job Type: Full-time

Heavy Duty Equipment Operator

Wheel loaders, Tracked excavators, Zoom Boom, Tracked loaders, Rock Trucks, Wheeled and tracked Skidsteers

Job purpose

To operate heavy duty equipment as required at job sites
Duties and responsibilities

Operation of equipment, routine inspection and maintenance of equipment as per manufacturer’s specifications and Minty’s Moving Ltd.’s safety protocols.

Qualifications

Several hundred hours of operational experience in heavy duty equipment.
High School Diploma, or equivalent
Working conditions

Standard hours of employment are 50 hours per week
Overtime hours if required
Travel to off-site locations may be required
Overtime as required
Physical requirements

Good physical condition is required
Ability to lift a maximum of 50lbs.
Good hand-eye coordination

Heavy Duty Mechanic

Job purpose

Heavy-duty equipment mechanics repair, troubleshoot, adjust, overhaul and maintain mobile heavy-duty equipment used in construction, transportation, forestry, mining, oil and gas, material handling, landscaping, land clearing, farming and similar activities.
Duties and responsibilities

Inspect, diagnose, repair, replace and test all components of heavy duty equipment as required.
Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications

Completion of secondary school is usually required.
Completion of a three- to five-year apprenticeship program or A combination of over four years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in heavy equipment repair is usually required to be eligible for trade certification

Standard hours of employment are 50 hours per week
Non-standardized work period
Overtime hours if required
Physical requirements

Good physical condition is required
Ability to lift a maximum of 50lbs.
Good hand-eye coordination
